PPM Director Crowned Australia’s Top Property Manager

Often referred to as the real estate industry’s ‘night of nights’, this year’s 2023 Real Estate Institute of Australia (REIA) Awards For Excellence was a night to remember – in particular for Perth Property Management (PPM).

Held at Crown Perth, the top real estate agents and agencies from all around Australia’s gathered to recognise and honour the industry’s top performers on a national level. It wasn’t long before the Property Management category was front and centre, where our PPM Director, Kristy Copping, was proudly in attendance as a WA finalist.

Then the moment we’d been waiting for finally happened…

Kristy’s name was read out as the 2023 REIA Residential Property Manager Of The Year – Australia’s highest possible accolade for a property manager.

It was a surreal moment for Kristy as she accepted the new title on stage, thanking her team and clients for being a key part of the award.

“I am absolutely delighted and very much humbled to have been recognised as Australia’s top property manager within the residential space. If you’d told me this would happen when we first started PPM in 2014, I wouldn’t have believed you!

Whilst it’s a surreal moment for me personally, I absolutely couldn’t have done this without the tireless support from my award-winning team and valued clients, as both continually drive us to innovate and improve our service delivery. I’d like to thank my team and clients for helping make this truly special award possible.” – Kristy Copping (PPM Director & Licensee)

Multiple Award Celebrations For Kristy

It wasn’t the first time Kristy had accepted an award for Residential Property Manager Of The Year, as Kristy had celebrated the same award title in 2019, 2021 and 2022 on behalf of the state-wide Awards For Excellence run by the Real Estate Institute Of Western Australia (REIWA).

This recent award both recognises and highlights Kristy's commitment and dedication towards exceptional property management service, placing Kristy and PPM at the very forefront of the industry.

Not only has Kristy won this award multiple times, but the property managers at PPM have also been recognised as an award-winning team as reflected in our property management awards over the years.

Why Kristy Is Australia’s Leading Property Manager

The REIA awards focus on an array of parameters to determine the nation’s leading professional, and when it comes to property management, one of the key metrics is service to clients.

Throughout the years, Kristy has mastered the art of delivering exceptional property management service which exceeds the expectations of her clients, however, it’s her knowledge of the local market that has enabled her owners to thrive in a dynamic market.

Her in-depth understanding of the property market and industry trends has provided valuable insights to property investors looking to maximise their returns whilst having the peace of mind that their property is in the best possible hands.

Agency practise is also a central focal point for Kristy and the PPM team, and this has been reflected in the agency’s culture, with new processes constantly being introduced in order to streamline various aspects of the business, leading to award-winning results that are passed on to both owners and tenants.

Whilst it is difficult to sum up all of the reasons behind Kristy’s national award, we cover some of these in her interview – Meet Kristy, The Face Behind Your Property.

The REIA Awards For Excellence - March 2023

What This Award Means for Perth Property Management

It is the first time the agency has been named a national winner at the esteemed REIA Awards For Excellence, with Kristy’s Residential Property Manager Of The Year title a key milestone in PPM’s history.

Whilst this award provides a useful barometer of success and credibility for property owners wanting to manage their asset with the best in the industry, the accolade will also help to bind the PPM team even closer together, with additional motivation to strive for new levels of quality, efficiency and performance.

Despite being able to call herself the leading property manager in the country for the next 12 months, Kristy isn’t becoming complacent with the new title:

“Whilst it’s such an exciting moment for PPM to take home its first national award, my next goal is to use this fresh accolade to inspire my team to push for new goals - we constantly want to reinvent ourselves to remain industry-leading for our clients at all times.”  – Kristy Copping

Perth Property Management maintains a unique approach to property management, driven by their desire to be a relationship-based property management provider and not a transactional service provider. The agency’s focus is to provide so much value that their owners feel proud to manage their assets with the PPM team, whilst also recommending their services to others.

It is this unique approach which has always translated into lasting benefits for investment property owners, particularly in recent times when Perth is experiencing its lowest vacancy rate in 42 years.

Kristy also went into more detail about their approach with owners and tenants in a recent REIWA interview where she also mentions her desire to be a positive ambassador within the real estate industry, in particular for women who decide to become leaders.
